1. My friends call me Lili. 

2. I believe that love is the most powerful thing there is in life. Not just romantic love, but the love of family and friends, the love of the world, and most importantly the love of self. 

3. My daughter and I have dance-offs on the regular.

4. I take happiness very seriously. 

5. I have absolutely no problem singing in public.
 
6. Succulents are my friends. Regular house plants can't stand me. UPDATE! I am now the proud mama of 10 house plants. And I discovered my succulents are happier outside.
 
7. I’m a proud Harvard Law School drop-out.

8. It took me a long time to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. Before becoming a writer, I went to law school and then worked as a: marketing coordinator for the Houston Rockets & Comets, production assistant for Girlfriends (TV show), home accessories designer, floral designer, and yoga and dance teacher.

9. I have a BA from Duke University and an MFA in Writing from Vermont College.

10. I live in Houston with my daughter and my man.
